- 4 sheets of filo pastry
- 500 g Sütdiyari Piknik Börek 40+
- Fresh dill, parsley and mint (half a bunch each)
- 1 egg + 1 egg white
- 240 g Sütdiyari Yoghurt 3.5%
- 120 g vegetable oil
For the crust:
- 1 egg yolk
- Sesame seeds
Lay two filo pastry sheets on a flat surface. Mix the crumbled cheese with chopped fresh dill, parsley and mint.
In a separate bowl, beat together the egg, yoghurt and vegetable oil. Brush the yoghurt mix between and on top of the filo pastry sheets. Then, cut them into 8 triangular shaped sheets. Place the cheese mixture on the widest edge of each triangle, roll it and curl to make a rose-shaped pastry. Place onto a greased oven tray.
Repeat the same process with the remaining filo sheets. Pour the remaining yoghurt mixture over the pastries. Place in the fridge and leave to rest for half an hour. Take them out of the fridge and sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Bake in an oven pre-heated to 200 degrees for approx. 30 minutes, until crispy on the top.
