Serves 4-6 – Preparation time: 1 hour
- 500 g Sütdiyari Yumusak Tam Yagli
- 4 eggs
- 75 g granulated sugar
- 140 g flour
- 65 g rice flour
- 75 g semolina
- 11 g baking soda
- 1 tbsp butter
- 10-15 almonds
For the syrup:
- 500 g granulated sugar
- 480 g water
- The juice of half a lemon
Place the cheese in water the night before, and change the water 2-3 times.
For the syrup, simmer the granulated sugar and water at low heat for 15 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the hob, add the lemon juice and leave it to cool.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg and granulated sugar. Add the flour, rice flour, semolina and baking soda and mix well with a wooden spoon. Crumble the cheese and add to the mixture.
Grease a 26cm diameter oven tray with margarine and pour the mixture into the tray. Bake in an oven pre-heated to 180 degree for approx. 45 minutes, until the top turns slightly golden. Take the baked dessert from the oven and pour the cold syrup all over it. Decorate as you wish, and it is ready to serve.
